East Los Angeles Skills Center, located at 3921 Selig Place, is offering Saturday morning classes for students looking to advance their education and career goals. Classes are available in English as a Second Language (ESL), Academic Programs, and Career Training Programs. Whether you want to improve your English skills, earn your high school diploma, or prepare for a new career, there is a program for you. Enrollment is now open, and all classes are free. Start your career in 1.5 months! East Los Angeles Occupational Center Campus offers a free Personal Care Aide class to prepare you for a rewarding caregiving career. The course is 80 hours, with new classes starting every 1.5 months!

Are you interested in a career as a Pharmacy Technician? ELAOC's Pharmacy Tech Instructor, Ms. Meeru Sharma, and Program Director, Ms. Jaya George, will host a program orientation session on Sept. 2, starting promptly at 6:30 PM. Please be on time. Come and learn about the requirements and possibilities.

The Every School Safe Blueprint for Safety – “Building Community with Trusted Adults and Mental Health Supports” is the first in a series of training modules for all students. This module will focus on the importance of community building in creating a positive school culture and climate, ensuring that students feel safe and know they belong. The module will define what a trusted adult is and share mental health tools and resources to support student well-being. Click the appropriate presentation link to access the video. The videos will also be archived under the Students Tab on the Home Page, under the Every School Safe Student Training Module and/or the Parent Training Module.
